A new guideline has been published by researchers from Epistudia in collaboration with experts from prestigious universities including Stanford, Harvard, Erasmus University, and the University of Bern. The guideline outlines a 7-step process for conducting a meta-analysis of observational data.

The increasing number of meta-analyses of observational studies being published each year has been hindered by various methodological issues, which affect their interpretation and usefulness. With multiple approaches and methods available, researchers often struggle to navigate and implement them in their work. The 7-step guideline, featured in the Public Health Review Journal, aims to assist researchers in conducting meta-analyses more effectively while providing insights into the limitations of each method.

This publication follows another guideline from the same authors, which has gained significant recognition and citations in recent years. For more information, you can access our study through the following link: https://www.ssph-journal.org/articles/10.3389/phrs.2023.1605454/full
